How To Watch the 2024 NBA Cup Without Cable
Nationally-televised NBA Cup games are aired on three networks: ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV. Games in your area that aren’t nationally televised can typically be found with your local regional sports networks (RSNs), which vary from city-to-city. These networks are typically included as part of a cable package.
If you want to keep up with a team outside your region, your best bet will be NBA League Pass, which will get you access to out-of-market games (but not local or national games).
To catch nationally-televised games, DirecTV Stream is our recommendation, which has the most comprehensive selection of channels, including RSNs (with the streamer’s Choice package). Sling is a great value option that carries TNT and ESPN, while NBA TV and NBA League Pass is available as an add-on.
DirecTV Stream
DirecTV Stream offers convenience and comprehensive coverage of DirecTV’s satellite service, without the need for contracts or hardware. The service’s Choice package includes many RSNs, as well as NBA TV, ESPN, and TNT. You can also get a five-day free trial, while the Choice package goes for $94.99 per month for the first three months.
NBA League Pass
NBA League Pass is a great way to watch NBA Cup games, but there are some caveats. ESPN, TNT, and games in your local market are blacked out, but you do get NBA TV. NBA League Pass is best for fans of out-of-market teams. A standard plan, with commercials, goes for $109.99 per season.
Sling TV
Sling offers two packages, Orange and Blue, along with add-ons for sports fans. Sling’s offerings are more limited, but considerably more affordable at about half the price of other live TV competitors. With Sling Orange, you’ll get ESPN and TNT. Meanwhile, you can add NBA League Pass for $16.99 per month, which will get you NBA TV and out-of-market games. The first month of Sling Orange is $20, then $40 after that (Please note: Channels availability and prices vary from TV market-to-TV market).
Hulu + Live TV
Starting at $82.99 per month, Hulu + Live TV gets you access to TNT and ESPN. However, you won’t get NBA TV. Hulu + Live TV also includes three great streaming services in addition to the live TV offerings: Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ at no additional cost.
Fubo
Fubo, which starts at $59.99 per month with the streamer’s current deals, carries ESPN and NBA TV, but there’s a trade-off. Due to a contract dispute, TNT is not available with FuboTV. However, the streaming services does include access to a number of RSNs for streaming in-market games that aren’t nationally televised.
